More than 11,000 kids and teens in York County have been reading this summer for York County Libraries’ summer reading club. As the program winds down, this month is the time to reap those rewards.
(You can still record minutes up through Aug. 18, but if you’ve already reached your goal, some of the prizes kick in this week!)
Stop by your local library for prizes, vouchers for freebies and more:
400 minutes – Kids and teens who registered and read at least 400 minutes can pick up a certificate for a free kids meal at Brown’s Orchards and Farm Market.
800 minutes – Kids and teens who registered and read at least 800 minutes are qualified for the following:
- 1 free ticket to the York Revolution game Aug. 13
- 1 child’s and 1 adult ticket to a Harrisburg Senators game Aug. 6, 7 or 8
- 1 ticket to the Chick-fil-A final ice-cream party Aug. 20, plus a chance to win a classroom party.
- Free admission for one to Maize Quest’s Fun Park
- Free admission for one to the PA Renaissance Faire Aug. 18 or 18
- A $3 coupon good toward a $10 purchase at Brown’s Orchards Pick-Your-Own
- A chance to win two Regal Cinema movie tickets
- A chance to win a York Fair commemorative truck (kids only)
- A chance to win two York Fair grandstand passes to the 9/13 performance of Austin Mahone and Coco Jones
